What happened in CSK vs RCB match? (Photo: PTI)
IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings has filed a complaint with BCCI, alleging humiliation in the match played on RCB's home ground. This match between CSK and RCB was played on 5 April at Chinnaswamy Stadium. According to the report, the matter is related to the DJ track 'Dosa, Idli, Sambar, Chutney, Chutney' played in the stadium during the match.
According to the report of Indian Express, this song composed by musician Appu is quite popular on social media. Many memes have also been made on this. However, CSK is upset with the song being played during the match because it feels that its timing and context were not right.
A senior IPL official told the Indian Express that the Governing Council has received a complaint from CSK regarding this. That matter is being investigated.
The song 'Dosa, Idli, Sambar, Chutney, Chutney' became famous last year when Jitesh Sharma was seen singing it and after that he had to face trolling from CSK fans. However, Chennai Super Kings intervened in that matter at the right time and contained it. CSK had said that such things should not be said against the opposing players.
However, in the present case, the complaint made to BCCI has also been confirmed by CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanathan. He said that the DJ was to be used there to support the home team. But, what was seen at Chinnaswamy Stadium was different. Many comments were being made against our players. Keeping that in mind, we have lodged our complaint in writing with BCCI.
