Delhi: In the first match of the five-match T20 series played in Durban, South Africa women’s team made a great start by defeating the Indian women’s cricket team by 6 wickets. With this victory, the host team has taken a 1-0 lead in the series.
Indian women’s team, who came to bat first after losing the toss, made a restrained start.
Opening pair Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma added 46 runs for the first wicket. Shefali Verma batted fast and scored 34 runs in 20 balls, but she was out in the last overs of the powerplay.
