Gujarat Titans (GT) will be eager to continue their winning momentum as they take on a struggling Mumbai Indians (MI) side in Match 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 20.

GT have picked up form at the right time in the tournament, heading into this clash on the back of three consecutive victories. Led by Shubman Gill, the side looks well-balanced across departments, with both their batting and bowling units delivering impactful performances. Currently placed sixth on the points table, Gujarat will be aiming to build on this momentum and push themselves into the top half of the standings.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have endured a tough phase in the competition, having suffered four straight defeats. The five-time champions have struggled to find the right combination, with inconsistency in both batting and bowling hurting their campaign. As they sit ninth on the table, MI will be desperate to bounce back and keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Gujarat Titans’ batting line-up is a top heavy one, with Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler scoring most of their runs at the top. GT’s skipper Gill has been their best batter in IPL 2026 so far, scoring 251 runs in just four innings. He will be opening alongside Sai Sudharsan, who is also having a decent IPL so far.

At number 3, the English batter Jos Buttler plays a crucial role. After a string of low scores, Buttler has finally rediscovered his touch, scoring 201 runs in just five innings.

This is where the concern lies for the IPL 2022 champions. Their middle-order is yet to fire this season. Washington Sundar gives them a good all-round option, and can contribute with both bat and ball in different stages of the game. He had scored a nice 50-run knock against DC, and has followed it up with a couple of cameos.

Glenn Phillips adds international experience to the side, but he is yet to show his A-game for GT. Rahul Tewatia will take up the finishers’ role for this GT side, while Shahrukh Khan is likely to come in as an impact sub.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Ashok Sharma, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj Mohammed Siraj(Source: IPL)

Gujarat Titans have a complete bowling attack, with four bowlers of international exposure. Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj lead the bowling line-up with the new ball and both of them have tasted success so far in IPL 2026, picking up six and five wickets respectively.

Prasidh Krishna has delivered with the ball whenever his team needed him to deliver, most notably against Delhi Capitals. Rashid Khan seems to have found his magic again, picking up six wickets so far. Ashok Sharma has been a revelation for them in this season.
