Punjab Kings are unstoppable, while Lucknow Super Giants have forgotten how to win in the Indian Premier League 2026. In the PBKS vs LSG match, Shreyas Iyer’s team secured a 54-run win after posting 254 for 7. The LSG never looked threatening with three batters touching the 40-run mark.
Rishabh Pant (43 off 23), Aiden Markram (42 off 22) and Mitchell Marsh (40 off 28) were guilty of not converting their starts into match-winning knocks.
Marco Jansen took two wickets. Earlier, Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly put LSG out of the game. Arya faced 37 balls to post 93 runs, including 9 sixes and 4 boundaries.
Connolly managed 87 runs off 46 balls, laced with 8 boundaries and 7 maximums. Prince Yadav and Manimaran Siddharth claimed two wickets each.
PBKS 254/7 (Arya 93, Connolly 87, Yadav 2 wickets) beat LSG 200/5 (Pant 43, Markram 42, Jansen 2 wickets) by 54 runs.
Punjab Kings out-batted Lucknow, with Arya and Connolly adding 182 runs for the second wicket. Chasing 255, Lucknow were under pressure from the start of the run chase, and their top batters couldn’t maintain the asking run-rate.
Priyansh Arya was named the Player of the Match for accumulating 93 runs.
Punjab Kings continue to lead the standings, with 11 points from 6 matches. They are the only unbeaten side in the IPL 2026. LSG have dropped down to 8th spot after collecting just 4 points from their 6 games.
