Sports Desk. The IPL 2026 season has so far not lived up to expectations for five-time winners Chennai Super Kings. It has lost four out of six matches played so far. It has been successful in winning only two matches. The injury of former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has become a cause of big trouble for the team.

Another bad news has come for Chennai Super Kings today. The news is that the team’s star batsman Ayush Mhatre has been ruled out of IPL 2026 due to injury. He has been the highest run-scorer for Chennai so far in this edition of IPL. For this reason, his exit from the team might have increased the tension of CSK management.

Chennai Super Kings itself has given the information about Ayush Mhatre being out of the tournament. CSK said that Ayush Mhatre suffered a serious injury and it will take 6-12 weeks to recover, due to which he will not be able to play further in this tournament.

CAK informed via Ax that Ayush Mhatre has been ruled out of the remaining matches of IPL 2026 after suffering a left hamstring injury while batting during the match against SRH.

Mhatre has scored 201 runs in this edition of IPL

Chennai Super Kings’ young batsman Mhatre scored 201 runs in 6 innings of this edition of IPL with an average of 33.50 and strike rate of 177.87.

During this period he has played two half-century innings.
