Following two consecutive defeats, Rajasthan Royals (RR) returned to winning ways with a convincing 40-run victory over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 32 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL). The win takes the 2008 champions up to second in the standings.
RR were put into bat by the hosts and registered a score of 159 on the board, thanks to Ravindra Jadeja’s late onslaught. The left-hander scored 20 runs off the final over of the bowling of Mayank Yadav. RR needed the late attack from Jadeja after their disappointing start to the innings, which saw Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel all getting dismissed within the first four overs.
In reply, LSG kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and thus fell 40 runs short of the target. Mitchell Marsh was the pick of the batters for the hosts, scoring 55 off 41 balls to surpass 1,500 runs in his IPL career. The Australian, however, lacked any sort of support from the other end, and once he was dismissed, LSG were bundled out like ninepins. Jofra Archer was the standout bowler, taking three wickets with an economy rate of five.
As is the case with all IPL matches this season, LSGvs RR also saw several personal and team milestones being accomplished by players from both sides.
However, not all milestones are positive in nature, with the Super Giants’ Nicholas Pooran being on the wrong side of an unenviable record. Here are the most important stats and milestones from Match 32:
