Jaipur. Rajasthan Royals batting coach Vikram Rathore said that captain Riyan Parag’s disappointing performance in the first eight matches of the current IPL season is not a matter of concern and expressed hope that he will be able to score big soon.

Despite the presence of Indian team’s regular players Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel, Ryan’s selection for the captaincy of Rajasthan Royals has been a topic of discussion. He has scored just 88 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 112.82, with his highest score being 20.

Rathore said after losing the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, there is no flaw in his batting. He is batting well during practice.

He is working hard. Ryan’s performance pales in comparison to the stellar performances of Vaibhav Suryavanshi (357 runs at a strike rate of over 234), Yashasvi Jaiswal (255 runs at a strike rate of 153) and Dhruv Jurel (232 runs at a strike rate of over 130).
