New Delhi: South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi issued a comforting message to his fans on Sunday after suffering a head injury during Delhi Capitals (DC)’s match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). Ngidi gave an update on his condition on social media, saying he was “all fine” and thanked his fans for their concern.

“Thanks for the messages, all is well,” Ngidi said on Instagram on Sunday in his first public response. He also shared a story on Instagram, in which he gave a message not to worry about his injury.

This fast bowler of Delhi Capitals suffered a serious injury during the match against Punjab Kings on Saturday. He was trying to take a difficult catch during the match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium when he lost his balance and fell on the ground with his head. After this injury he was immediately taken to the hospital.

Ngidi was admitted to BLK-Max Super Specialty Hospital in Delhi, where he was later discharged. Delhi Capitals chairman and co-owner Kiran Kumar Grandhi also accompanied him to the hospital.

Meanwhile, a serious situation arose regarding the Delhi Capitals bowler, as he could not return to the field after the accident. Due to this, Delhi Capitals had to field Vipraj Nigam as a concussion substitute. This incident caused the match to be stopped for about 10 minutes.

Earlier in the match, Punjab Kings achieved a historic win while chasing 265 runs, in which KL Rahul’s record-breaking 152* and captain Shreyas Iyer’s brilliant 71* played a key role. However, the absence of Ngidi in the bowling became a big problem for Delhi Capitals.

Ngidi has taken 7 wickets in 7 matches so far this season at an average of 29.42 and his economy rate has been 8.70. His best performance has been 3/27. After Ngidi’s injury, Delhi Capitals coach Venugopal said that the injury is not serious and he will recover soon.
