Delhi: In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match played at the PCA Stadium in Mullanpur on Tuesday, Rajasthan Royals (RR) created a big upset by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 wickets. Batting first, Punjab had scored a huge score of 222 runs, but Rajasthan achieved the target on the basis of strong batting.

Prabhsimran Singh and Marcus Stoinis played brilliant innings for Punjab Kings.

Prabhasimran scored a quick 59 runs, while Stoinis scored unbeaten 62 runs in just 22 balls, taking the team to a strong score of 222/4. Apart from this, Priyansh Arya gave a fast start, while Cooper Connolly increased the run rate by scoring 30 runs in 14 balls. Captain Shreyas Iyer also contributed 30 runs. Yash Punja was the most successful bowler from Rajasthan, who took two wickets.

Openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal together added 51 runs. However, Arshdeep Singh gave the first success to Punjab by dismissing Suryavanshi. After this, Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel took over the innings and took the team’s score beyond 100 within 9 overs.

He also praised the innings of Shubham Dubey, who played an important role in reducing the pressure. It is known that Ferreira has been awarded the title of Player of the Match.

With this victory of Rajasthan, Punjab Kings had to face their first defeat in this season, while Rajasthan strengthened their position in the points table.
