With this, the record of scoring a century in the fewest number of balls in the history of IPL for Mumbai Indians has now been registered in his name.

Joint record was recorded in the name of Tilak Verma and Sanath Jayasuriya

Earlier this record was jointly held in the names of Tilak Verma and Sanath Jayasuriya. Both these batsmen had scored centuries for Mumbai on 45-45 balls. Sanath Jayasuriya completed his century in 45 balls in the year 2008 in the match against Chennai Super Kings team. Whereas Tilak Verma has played a century in 45 balls against Gujarat Titans this year.
