Shubman Gill vs Josh Hazlewood: An exciting match was seen between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 42nd match of IPL 2026 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, Gujarat team won by 4 wickets. However, at the beginning of the match, Virat Kohli burst onto the scene and gave a great start to the team. But in the second innings, captain Shubman Gill completed his revenge. He took on RCB's star fast bowler Josh Hazlewood.
Royal Challengers Bangalore had a explosive start in the first innings of the match. Virat Kohli hit five consecutive fours in the first over of Gujarat Titans fast bowler Kagiso Rabada. 21 runs were scored in that over and Kohli played a stormy innings of 28 runs in just 13 balls. However, Rabada counter-attacked and got Kohli caught by Rashid Khan in the fourth over.
While chasing the target in the second innings, Gujarat Titans also had an aggressive start. Captain Shubman Gill took revenge for that over of Rabada from Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood of Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the second over of the innings, Gill beat Hazlewood badly. Gill hit a four on the first ball of the over. On the second ball also, he showed great footwork and hit a brilliant four. The third ball was a dot, but Gill hit a long six on the fourth ball. Again hit a four on the fifth ball and another six on the last ball. In this way Shubman Gill scored 24 runs in that one over alone.
Talking about the match, RCB batted first and scored 155 runs, but could play only 19.2 overs and got all out. RCB team was all out for the first time this season. At the same time, Gujarat achieved the target at the loss of 6 wickets in just 15.5 overs. During this, Shubman Gill scored the maximum 43 runs, for this he took only 18 balls, which included 4 fours and 3 sixes.
