Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins has won the toss and elected to bat first against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match No. 45 of the IPL 2026. The match will start at 03:30 PM IST.

“We will bat as the pitch looks good. It is hard, and hopefully it will be good for batting. I am not a good reader of the pitch, but it looks good. The young guns have been fantastic for us. Everyone is looking forward to the match, and we need to stick to our style, as it is working for us,” Pat Cummins said.
KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane wanted to bat first as well.
“We wanted to bat first. The breaks have helped us as a team. It is important to win small moments and be proactive,” he said.
