At just 15 years of age, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi knows how to cook, quite literally. The youngster was recently seen spotted cooking roti (Indian flatbread) in an off-field activity with the Rajasthan Royals' members amid the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The cricketer called himself a 'MasterChef' in a hilarious video, which has now gone viral online.
Sooryavanshi claimed that the roti he made turned out to be as perfect as or even better than how his mother would make it for him. While flipping the roti with a rolling pin, one of the doughs lost its shape, to which Sooryavanshi covered it up, saying it was the ears of a panda. RR, Sooryavanshi's IPL franchise, posted the video on their official social media handles on Tuesday, May 12.

While Sooryavanshi cooks well inside the kitchen, he has been in smoking hot form in IPL 2026 for the Royals. In the nineteenth edition of the cash-rich tournament, the Samastipur-born player has already amassed 440 runs at an average of 40.00 after 11 matches, striking at a sensational rate of 236.55. The batter has smashed two half-centuries and a hundred in the season, with at least three more league games to go.
Speaking of RR, the 2008 champions find themselves in a cautious state with only three games remaining in their campaign. If they wish to play beyond the league stage, they will have to manage at least two wins in the remainder of their matches to finish in the top four and qualify for the playoffs. With six wins and 12 points after 11 encounters, the Riyan Parag-led side is at sixth position on the leaderboard.
Sooryavanshi will have to carry a lot of burden with the bat for RR in the rest of the season, while the bowling relies heavily on the services of Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, and Sandeep Sharma. The Royals will be confident of their abilities.
