Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Jamie Overton has suffered a thigh injury and returned to the United Kingdom for futher assessment and management, the franchise announced on social media on Wednesday night.

Its been an injury laden season for the Super Kings, and the Englishman has become the latest casualty.

In the social media post, there was no mention of how long the 32-year-old will be out of action, and it remains to be seen if Overton can recover and comeback in time for CSK’s next game against Lucknow Super Giants on Friday.

Its a big blow for CSK as Overton has been one of the standout performers for the side this season, making an impact with both bat and ball.
