The Lucknow Super Giants will face Chennai Super Kings in a reverse fixture on May 15 in the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2026. The match will be held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

LSG are currently at the bottom of the points table, having secured just three wins from 11 matches. They previously faced CSK earlier in the season, where they suffered a five-wicket defeat at the Chepauk. So, they would want to return the favour to CSK with a strong outing at Ekana. With their playoff hopes finished, they will aim to put up a strong performance and register a win for pride.

On the other hand, CSK are placed fifth on the table with six wins from 11 matches. After a poor start to their IPL 2026 season, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side are in much better position, and are fighting hard for the playoffs spot.

Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow: Pitch Report

The surface at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow is one of the few bowler friendly surfaces in the league. The venue has hosted five matches so far in IPL 2026, and barring the LSG vs RCB match, all the other matches have been low-scoring encounters. The pitch at Ekana has low bounce, which can be tricky for the batters. But the spinners might come in handy given the conditions here are spin-friendly.
