After scoring a century, Kohli said, “I was nervous after getting out for ducks continuously, and not scoring runs makes me restless.

Raipur. India’s superstar batsman Virat Kohli said that he also feels uneasy due to the pressure of performance and he was nervous after getting out for zero in the last two matches in the IPL. Kohli, 37, returned to form by scoring unbeaten 105 off 60 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Kolkata Knight Riders.

RCB reached the top of the IPL points table with a six-wicket win. Kohli scored his ninth century in the IPL and became the player with the most matches in the league, surpassing Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rohit Sharma (279).

Player of the Match Kohli later told the broadcaster, “I was very restless after not being able to score runs in the last two matches.” I knew I could play well and score runs.

He said, in such a situation, when you could not score runs and could not contribute to the team, then you feel uneasy. My aim has always been to contribute to the team. I constantly try to perform better so that I can give my best to the team and leave an impression.

Kohli admitted that he was nervous after not being able to open the account in the last two matches but also said that failure plays a role in a player’s development.

He said, there was no big celebration after scoring a century because we know the importance of points. We all try to play for the team. That’s why it is said that pressure is good because it helps you improve your game. Was nervous because of not playing well in two matches which helped in the good performance. Therefore, failures are also necessary which inspire us to do better.
