A masterclass from Mitchell Marsh has taken Lucknow Super Giants to 220/5 against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2026 game played at Jaipur.

His carnage, along with the contributions from Josh Inglis and Rishabh Pant, has set up a big total on Tuesday’s clash.

After being invited to bat first, Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis opened the innings while Jofra Archer opened the bowling attack.

The opener duo made a solid start, dealing with fours and sixes. Despite using four bowlers, the Rajasthan Royals couldn’t restrict the run flow.

The opener duo maximised the powerplay, scoring 83 runs in the powerplay. Josh Inglis smashed his third IPL fifty on just 23 balls.

The duo forged a 109-run partnership for the first wicket. Yash Punja bagged the first breakthrough, dismissing Josh Inglis for 60 runs. He got bowled out on a length delivery which hit the middle stumps after the batter missed it on attempting slogsweep.

Nicholas Pooran, who came to bat at No.3, joined Marsh, aiming to set up a massive total against the Rajasthan Royals. Soon, Mitchell Marsh smashed fifty off 22 deliveries, putting a base for LSG’s mammoth score.

Yash Punja bagged his second wicket dismissing Nicholas Pooran for 16 runs. He got dismissed on a length delivery where he doesn’t get timing where Donovan Ferreira takes the catch at long-off.

Rishabh Pant who came to bat at No.4, joined Mitchell Marsh in the innings as LSG cross 200 run mark. Pant made a crucial contribution of 35 runs before being dismissed on a runout.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Marsh who scored 96 runs got dismissed on a run out and Jofra Archer dismissing Ayush Badoni for golden duck has likely pull back LSG’s score at Jaipur.

By the end of 20 overs, Lucknow Super Giants scored 220 for 5 wickets with Yash Punja picking two wickets while Archer completed his spell with a wicket.
