Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated the Gujarat Titans by 92 runs in Qualifier 1 to make it to their second consecutive final. Chasing 255, the Titans were dismissed for 162 in 19.3 overs. Rahul Tewatia scored 68 runs off 43 deliveries, laced with 8 boundaries and 4 sixes.
Jos Buttler (29 off 11) and Sai Sudharsan (14 off 9) were the other two batters who entered the double-digit mark. Shubman Gill (2), Nishant Sindhu (5), Washington Sundar (8), Jason Holder (0) and Rashid Khan (8) failed with the bat.
Jacob Duffy took three wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rasikh Salam, and Krunal Pandya claimed two wickets each. Josh Hazlewood got rid of one batter.
Earlier, Rajat Patidar amassed an unbeaten 93 runs in 33 balls, including 9 sixes and 5 boundaries. Virat Kohli (43 off 25) and Krunal Pandya (43 off 28) also added important runs to the total. Venkatesh Iyer (19 off 7) and Jitesh Sharma (15* off 5) played aggressively. Bengaluru reached 254 for 5 in 20 overs.
Kagiso Rabada and Holder picked up two scalps each. Prasidh Krishna added one scalp to his bowling figures.
Patidar was named the Player of the Match for his match-winning innings. RCB will now face the winner of Qualifier 2 in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 31.
GT still have to chance to win the title in the IPL 2026. They will face the winner of the Eliminator between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals.
