The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) has completed the player auction for the inaugural edition of the Jharkhand T20 League. The new domestic tournament has generated significant excitement from cricket fans, with six franchises building their squads ahead of the competition.

The auction took place at the Wave International Hotel in Ranchi. A total of 275 cricketers entered the player pool, while all six franchises worked within the same budget to assemble their squads. The Jharkhand T20 League is set to begin on June 10, providing a platform for local players.

Robin Minz Emerges as the Costliest Player, Surpasses Ishan Kishan

Koylanchal Super Kings made the biggest signing of the auction by securing wicketkeeper-batter Robin Minz for ₹15.25 lakh. Minz surpassed India and Ishan Kishan, who the Santhal Strikers bought for ₹14.7 lakh. Chota Nagpur Royals also made a major investment by signing Virat Singh for ₹13 lakh.

All six franchises - Ranchi Titans, Jamshedpur Steelers, Chota Nagpur Royals, Koylanchal Super Kings, Dhanbad Diamonds, and Santhal Strikers - operated under a salary cap of ₹50 lakh. Jamshedpur Steelers signed Md. Kounain Quraishi for ₹12.5 lakh and added Sahil Raj for ₹8.75 lakh as they balanced experience with emerging talent. Dhanbad Diamonds secured pacer Sushant Mishra for ₹11 lakh and Pankaj Kumar for ₹10.75 lakh. Ranchi Titans, meanwhile, signed Shikhar Mohan for ₹11 lakh and Rajandeep Singh for ₹9 lakh. The auction also featured special icon-player categories, with base prices starting at ₹4 lakh.

JSCA Vice President Sanjay Pandey also shared his views on the tournament. He said the league will provide a valuable platform for young cricketers to play alongside experienced players and gain exposure in a competitive environment. "Jharkhand T20 League will provide a robust platform for young and emerging cricketers to showcase their skills alongside experienced players. The league will bring high-quality, competitive T20 cricket to fans across the nation."
