Delhi: During an event organized in Mumbai, former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson openly praised the young and experienced stars of Indian cricket. He told that there are some special qualities in the current Indians players, which he would have liked to include in his cricket career.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s fearless batting won hearts

Shane Watson first took the name of young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

He said that at such a young age, the way Vaibhav has the ability to hit big shots in every part of the field is very special. According to Watson, Vaibhav is capable of taking the ball across the boundary not only on the leg side or straight bat, but also on the off side with great power.

He also said that Vaibhav’s biggest strength is his fearless attitude. Watson admitted that he himself had not been able to achieve this mentality for a long period of his career.

Created history by making place in the Indian team

Recently Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been included in the Indian T20 team for the tour of Ireland and England.

Apart from this, he has also got a place in the Indian team for the Asian Games. With this selection, he made the record of becoming a part of the national team at the youngest age in the history of Indian cricket. Earlier this achievement was recorded in the name of great batsman Sachin Tendulkar.

Shreyas Iyer’s off-side batting called a unique art

Watson also praised the batting of Indian T20 team captain Shreyas Iyer. He believes that Iyer has the extraordinary ability to play powerful shots in the off side.

His style of hitting big shots, especially over cover and mid-off, is very impressive.

The former Australian player said that whether it is a fast bowler or a spinner, Shreyas Iyer scores runs on the off side with great ease. According to him, this is a rare skill, the importance of which perhaps even Iyer himself does not fully understand.

Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling art became admirer

Shane Watson also described the bowling of Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah as special. He said that Bumrah, the way he changes the pace and bowls accurate yorkers, is a very dangerous weapon in modern cricket.

Watson admitted that if he had got a chance to add one bowling skill to his career, it would have been Bumrah’s ability. According to him, this level of variety and control is seen with very few bowlers.

It is noteworthy that Watson’s comments indicate that while young players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi are rapidly making their mark in Indian cricket, experienced stars like Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah are leaving a different mark in world cricket with their special talent.
