IND vs AFG: Ishaan could not score double century because of Gill, himself revealed after the match, watch video

Delhi: Ishan Kishan played a brilliant century in the second ODI against Afghanistan on Wednesday. Ishaan scored 125 runs in just 79 balls. Ishaan had a golden opportunity to score another double century. But, because of captain Shubman Gill, he missed out on this feat. Ishaan himself revealed this while talking to Gill after the match.

Ishaan could not score a double century because of Gill

In the video posted by BCCI after the match, Ishan revealed that Gill asked him to hit six sixes in a row due to which he lost 70-75 runs. Ishaan had hit two sixes in two balls off Nangeyalia Kharoti in the 37th over. But Ishaan went to hit him for another six, due to which he had to be out.

Ishaan told Gill in the video, “Brother, you reduced my 70 runs by hitting me for six sixes,” to which Gill replied, “You had to hit me anyway.” Ishaan agreed with Gill and said, “Yes, I had to kill, 100 percent.”

Gill also scored a brilliant century, made a big partnership with Ishaan

Apart from Ishaan, Gill also scored a brilliant century. Gill scored 154 runs in 110 balls.

Gill also missed his double century. Gill along with Ishaan added 224 runs in 140 balls for the second wicket. Due to which India scored 402 runs against Afghanistan. In reply, Afghanistan was reduced to just 232 runs. India won this match by 170 runs. With this win, India is ahead 2-0 in the series. The last match of the series between the two will be held on June 20 in Chennai.
