Ireland captain Gaby Lewis has won the toss and elected to bowl first against New Zealand in Match No. 13 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

“We are bowling first as the wicket is new. There are a lot of positives to build on. We need to adapt well and make good decisions.

New Zealand skipper Amelia Kerr would have batted first had she won the toss against Ireland. She wants her players to perform well and give their best in the game.

“We are bothered about the outcome of the toss as we wanted to bat first. We have to keep our body language and energy high. We’re still in the competition mathematically. We will have to improve our fielding. Devine is unwell, and Bates has replaced her,” Amelia Kerr said.
