“We will bowl first. It is a morning game, and I don’t have any other reason. The ball will do a bit, and the net run rate is an important factor now.

It is better to restrict them and complete the chase. If our batters get started, they can chase any total. We have been working on our fielding. The players have been taking catches in the practice sessions,” Amelie Kerr said.

Scotland skipper Kathryn Bryce is happy to bat first, and she is backing her batters to post a competitive total against New Zealand in today’s match of the World Cup.

“I am happy to bat, and we are looking forward to the game. We have been playing well against big teams. We will have to make sure that we don’t lose a lot of wickets at the start of the game,” she said.
