Latest News :- Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra is all set to participate in the ongoing Doha Diamond League.

There are expectations that he will retain the javelin throw gold medal in the upcoming Paris Olympics. In such a situation, he shared this matter with the English daily 'The Hindu'. “There are five Diamond League meetings a year.
There are lots of opportunities in this. Make new achievements. But the Olympics are not like that. Only once in four years. Because of this there is a lot of pressure on him.

You have to manage your body and mind to perform at that level. And it has to be done right at that moment. Only then will the expected results come. I think that's why so many great players in history have faltered. We have seen people falter at the Olympics who have done well elsewhere. I had that experience at the Tokyo Olympics as well. That environment, the pressure of that time, will determine where you compete.

It's not that easy. But, it's not impossible.

I am well prepared for the Diamond League. I am in the 88-90m mark. I want to destroy it. My entire focus is on health. That is my strength and my best weapon. I know I can throw the javelin up to 90m. But, consistency is very important. Mental clarity of our goals during training is also very important. I have won the Olympics and the World Championships. At least till the upcoming Paris Olympics, my introduction will remain like this. I have an additional responsibility to handle it properly,” he said.
