Vaibhav Sooryavanshi attended the  Wimbledon 2026 men’s singles final at the All England Club. He came along with Abhishek Sharma and also met legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. The 15-year-old enjoyed watching Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev in action.

He was present in England for the five-match T20I series against the host nation. Tilak Varma gave him his maiden India cap before the start of the second match, and he went on to play three games. He is the youngest player to play for India in international cricket at the age of 15 years and 99 days.

After experiencing the challenges of the highest level of cricket, Sooryavanshi keenly observed the pressure and expectations in the world of tennis.

“I have come to Wimbledon for the first time to see how the players perform in the final,”  Sooryavanshi said.

The teenager arrived in formal attire, wearing a black blazer, a tie, sunglasses and a white shirt.  However, he didn’t plan anything. “I didn’t plan anything. Abhishek bhaiya helped me in arranging everything, and then I wore it,” he added.

Sooryavanshi has been watching tennis for four or five years. Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are the two players who made him fall in love with tennis.

“I watched the matches of Nadal and Djokovic. Although I followed both, Djokovic is my favourite,” he mentioned.

Sinner defeated Djokovic in the semi-finals. Vaibhav was asked to name a tennis player from the younger generation who has impressed him the most, and the young batter named Carlos Alcaraz. “I like Alcaraz, but he is not playing in the tournament. I liked the way Sinner dominated.”

Sinner won Wimbledon 2026 after recovering from losing the opening set. He thumped  Zverev 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4, giving him his second Wimbledon title and fifth Grand Slam success overall.

The southpaw would choose Abhishek Sharma as his partner if he decides to play doubles in tennis. “He opens the innings with me in T20Is so that I would choose him in tennis as well.”

Vaibhav has been hogging the limelight since scoring 776 runs in 16 matches for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2026. He recorded a strike rate of 237.30 and also hit 72 sixes. Sooryavanshi won several awards, including the Orange Cap in the 19th season of the tournament.
