Krishna Srikkanth reveals his preferred candidate for the post of CSK head coach

Srikkanth believes that CSK already have a strong option in their current squad and they do not need to look outside the franchise for Fleming’s successor. Former India captain meets current CSK batting coach michael hussey has endorsed. Hussey has been a part of the franchise’s coaching staff since 2018, before which he enjoyed a successful playing career with the team.

According to Srikkanth, Hussey would be the ideal choice to take over the responsibility for the franchise. However, he believes that CSK should resolve another important issue before deciding on the coaching post. Srikanth believes that ms dhoni CSK’s future with the franchise needs to be clear before CSK selects its next head coach.

“CSK doesn’t need anyone from outside when they have Mr Cricket. Michael Hussey should be the automatic head coach. He would be the best choice. But what will be MS Dhoni’s position in CSK going forward? That arrangement has to be decided first, and only then everything else will fall into place,” Srikanth said on his YouTube channel, Cheeky Cheeka.

Thus the former India opener believes that CSK’s decision-making process should start with establishing Dhoni’s role, before the franchise moves ahead with its coaching plans.

Srikkanth said CSK should avoid EOIN Morgan and Brendon McCullum

Srikkanth was also asked about two high-profile names linked to the post of CSK head coach. However, he does not believe that EOIN MORGAN come on Brendon McCullum Would be the right choice for this role. Morgan has England Enjoyed a highly successful career as captain, in 2019 the team received its first male ODI World Cup Gave the title. He played in IPL Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Also captained. However, despite Morgan’s achievements as a player and captain, Srikkanth believes that he should not be considered for the CSK coaching position.

“I definitely wouldn’t go for EOIN Morgan. He was a good player and a good captain for England. But as a coach, I wouldn’t accept him as an option. Even as captain of KKR, he didn’t do anything special. It would be best for him to stick to commentary only. Similarly, it would be better for CSK if they don’t make Brendon McCullum the head coach. They should say no to both Morgan and McCullum,” Srikanth concluded.

The former India captain was equally firm when discussing McCullum, who has previously held key coaching responsibilities with England. Srikanth’s priority is clear. He believes CSK should promote from within, rather than appoint Morgan or McCullum, with Hussey emerging as his preferred option. However, before the franchise takes this decision, Srikkanth believes that the question to Dhoni’s future should be addressed first.
