Delhi: Indian team's star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has made another big achievement in his name in Test cricket. On the fourth day of the Galle Test against Sri Lanka, he hit the 100th six of his Test career. With this, he became the first Indian batsman to reach this figure in Test cricket.

Pant played a quick inning of 66 runs in 69 balls, which included eight fours and two sixes. He completed his century of Test sixes by sending the ball over fine leg from Sri Lankan fast bowler Lahiru Kumara.

Pant is faster than the giants

The left-handed batsman has achieved this feat in only 89 innings, whereas Australia's Adam Gilchrist had completed 100 Test sixes in 130 innings. At the same time, Brendon McCullum of New Zealand achieved this position in 170 innings, while Ben Stokes of England achieved this position in 151 innings.

Former Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More described this achievement of Pant as fantastic. He believes that Pant can soon leave behind the figures of sixes of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum. More said that Pant has made this record while facing much less balls than these players.

There should be a comeback in the white ball team!

Kiran More described Rishabh Pant as the player who single-handedly changed the course of the match. He said that it is beyond comprehension to keep a talented batsman like Pant away from white ball cricket.

According to More, the selectors should give Pant a regular chance in the ODI and T20 teams as well. He said that Pant has the ability to change the outcome of the match in any situation and he is a very important player for the Indian team.
