The first day of the second Test match being played between Australia and Bangladesh in Mackay was very exciting and surprising for the cricket lovers. A total of 18 wickets fell for both the teams on the very first day of the match, which showed the complete dominance of the bowlers on the field. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, the Bangladeshi team could not stand the stormy bowling of the Australian bowlers and the entire team was reduced to just 64 runs.
From Australia, experienced left arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc wreaked havoc, taking 6 wickets for just 21 runs and broke the back of Bangladeshi batsmen.
Apart from Starc, captain Pat Cummins took 3 wickets and Josh Hazlewood took 1 wicket. Bangladesh's score at one time was 5 wickets for 12 runs and then 9 wickets for 39 runs, but Shoriful Islam (not out / other contributions) and Taijul Islam saved the team from getting out on the lowest score by making a partnership of 25 runs for the last wicket. In response, when the Australian team came out to bat, they also had to face tough resistance from the Bangladeshi bowlers.
For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam bowled brilliantly and took 6 wickets and troubled the Kangaroo batsmen a lot. Travis Head made a fast start, but Matt Renshaw, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith (41 runs) returned to the pavilion early.By the end of the day's play, Australia had scored 165 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in their first innings. With this the host team has a significant lead of 101 runs. all-rounder at the crease Cameron Green He remains unbeaten after scoring 51 runs, while Nathan Lyon (10 runs) is present with him.
On the second day, the Australian team will aim to further strengthen its lead, while the Bangladeshi bowlers will try to make a comeback in the match by giving initial shocks.
