Women’s Asia Cup 2026: Esha Oza to lead 15-member UAE squad

All-rounder Esha Oza has been named captain of a 15-member UAE squad for the Women’s Asia Cup 2026, which will be played at the Dubai International Stadium from Thursday, August 28.

UAE is placed in Group B with Bangladesh, Indonesia and Sri Lanka the other three teams in the group.

UAE will take on Sri Lanka in its first match of the tournament on August 29.

The game against Indonesia is scheduled for September 4, while the third contest against Bangladesh will be played on September 8.

The semifinals of the tournament will take place on September 10 and 11.

The summit clash will be on September 13.

All matches will start at 6:30pm local time.

UAE Women’s Asia Cup squad:

Esha Oza (captain), Archara Supriya, Heena Hotchandani, Indhuja Nandakumar, Janani Thirukkumaran, Lavanya Keny, Mehul Kulkarni, Rinitha Rajith, Samaira Dharnidharka, Siya Gokhale, Sashikala Silva, Suraksha Kotte, Theertha Satish (wicketkeeper), Uttara Iyer and Vaishnave Mahesh.

Support staff: Subha Venkataraman (head coach), Shahzada Saleem (assistant coach), Shyla Alam (strength and conditioning coach) and Merin Saji (physiotherapist).
