Delhi: In the T20 match played between Namibia and South Africa in Windhoek on Friday, the host team won by 18 runs. However, this match was not discussed only about Namibia's spectacular victory. During the match, technical problems in the broadcast also attracted the attention of the viewers. SuperSport had to interrupt live coverage due to poor picture quality.

Poor picture quality hinders broadcasting

During the match, viewers faced problems in watching the live telecast. SuperSport later clarified that it was not possible to continue broadcasting the match due to the poor quality of the picture coming from the venue.

An official statement was also issued by the South African team on this matter. The Proteas men's team said that the SuperSport broadcast of the T20 match between Namibia and South Africa unfortunately had to be stopped. In the statement, the reason for this was attributed to the poor incoming picture quality received from the venue.

This clearly means that showing poor video/picture quality is no less than a big insult for Namibia, because because of this South Africa stopped the live telecast of the match in their country and in such a situation anyone can feel 'shameful'.

The South African team also apologized to cricket fans for the interruption in broadcasting. The team said that it regrets the inconvenience and disappointment caused to the spectators due to this problem.

In the statement, while appreciating the patience and understanding of the fans, they were also thanked for their continuous support. Many cricket fans had to face disappointment due to not being able to watch important moments of the match live.

Namibia again showed its strength

Talking about the match, Namibia batted first and scored 163 runs in 20 overs. The team had a strong start. Lauren Steenkamp and Jan Frylink put the team in a good position by adding 84 runs for the first wicket.

Steenkamp scored 41 runs in 29 balls, while Frylink played a brilliant inning of 60 runs in just 38 balls. For South Africa, Prenelon Subrayen took three wickets, debutant Duane Jansen took 2 wickets and captain Bjorn Fortuin also got two wickets.

Even Brevis's innings could not bring victory

Chasing the target of 164 runs, the South African team could score only 145 runs in 20 overs. Dewald Brevis kept the team's hopes alive by scoring 75 runs in 50 balls, but after his dismissal in the 18th over, the match went in favor of Namibia.

Ruben Trumpelman and Jonathan Smit stopped the South African batting by taking three wickets each, Duane Yansen scored unbeaten 25 runs, but could not lead the team to victory.
