Yastika Bhatia, Shikha Pandey among 4 Indian women cricketers to sign Caribbean Premier League contracts

Four Indian women cricketers including Shikha Pandey, Yastika Bhatia, Pooja Vastrakar, and Kiran Navgire signed Caribbean Premier League (CPL) contracts for the upcoming season starting September 6.

Veteran fast bowler Shikha will join Trinbago Knight Riders along with Yastika. While the 25-year-old wicketkeeper batter will be making her CPL debut, this will be Shikha’s third season in the league.

Pace bowling all-rounder Pooja and explosive batter Kiran will be turning up for the defending champion Barbados Tridents. The duo will be making their CPL debut this season.

Pooja returned to competitive cricket after a long injury layoff that kept her out of action for most part of 2025. She came back in Women’s Premier League (WPL), turning up for Royal Challengers Bengaluru before featuring in the Madhya Pradesh T20 League for Chambal Ghariyals.

Barring Kiran, Pooja, Yastika, and Shikha have all played overseas T20 franchise league before. Pooja has previously played in Women’s Big Bash League in 2022-23. Yastika had turned up in the Australian league in 2024-25.
