The stage is set for a thrilling finale at the Arun Jaitley Stadium as the South Delhi Superstarz prepare to face off against the Central Delhi Kings in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 title clash. Set to deliver another electrifying encounter, the tie between the two franchises will see both bring in a heavy share of momentum, long-standing rivalries, and match-winning stars into the contest.
South Delhi Superstarz have secured their place in the final after Qualifier 1 as they held their nerve to post a competitive total of 193/7.
Anmol Sharma and skipper Tejasvi Dahiya both scoring half centuries laid a foundation for the Superstarz to hold their nerve and eventually defend their total by 15 runs to finish top of the group.The Kings, however, refused to lie down and in Qualifier 2 saw skipper Jonty Sidhu produce a stunning all-round performance to steer Central Delhi into the final. Facing Purani Dilli 6, Sidhu smashed a staggering 106 off 46 balls (5 fours, 10 sixes), guiding his side to 218/5 before a sparkling display with the ball saw him claim 3 wickets as Purani Dilli were bowled out for 146.
Jonty Sidhu (CDK): Coming off his sensational all-round display in Qualifier 2, the Kings captain is the man to watch out for in the final as he continues to be in stunning form with the bat and ball.
Anshuman Hooda (SDS): The South Delhi pace spearhead leads the bowling attack in the league with a staggering 20 wickets in 9 matches and will be vital to South Delhi's success in the final with his opening spell.
The surface at the Arun Jaitley Stadium continues to stay true to its name, offering a batsman's boon.
Scores of more than 200 runs have been commonplace this DPL 2026. Chases are generally the order of the day on this surface.
