Throw of 88.05 meters in Lausanne, got injured again

Neeraj Chopra recently finished second in the Lausanne Diamond League by throwing a season best throw of 88.05 meters. This was his third competitive match of the 2026 season and from his performance it seemed that he was gradually regaining his old rhythm.

Earlier, he had won the silver medal in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with a throw of 85.83 metres. In June, he made a competitive comeback in the Doha Diamond League after a long injury break.

Neeraj will not be seen in Asian Games
